Utah Children's Theatre - Shakespeare Festival

It's no secret that my family loves the shows at Utah Children's Theatre

Zorro and Winnie the Pooh were both entertaining and fun for my family. Also, Lilly enjoyed her week at Theater Camp. So, it's not a surprise that we are really looking forward to the Utah Children's Theatre Shakespeare Festival.

Come enjoy the FREE* Family Faire. Enjoy a free showing of the Best of State Winning show Breakfast with Shakespeare, facing painting, live music, puppet show, medieval games, dance workshop, food trucks and our Festival Feaste Show. Come eat, play and laugh with us....Shakespeare Style! Face Painting and Craft Activities cost $2 - $5. The Festival Feast requires a ticket reservation of $3/person (space is limited).

Prince Hamlet is summoned home to Denmark from school in Germany to attend his father's funeral, he is shocked to find his mother Gertrude already remarried to Hamlet's Uncle Claudius. When the ghost of Hamlet's dead father tells him that his death was not an accident, Hamlet's world is turned upside down.

Rosalind, the daughter of Duke Senior, is raised at the court of Duke Frederick, with her cousin Celia. She falls in love with a young man named Orlando, but before she can even think twice about it, she is banished by Duke Frederick. What follows is an elaborate scheme devised by the cross-dressing Rosalind to find out if Orlando really loves her, and to further capture his heart, through the witty and mischievous façade of Ganymede.

The Festival runs August 14th-Sept 26th with shows on Friday at 7:00pm andSaturdays and 1:00pm and 7:00.

Please visit the Utah Children's Theatre website for the Faire Calendar and for dates.
