Decadence - An Artisan Cafe - Review & Give-away

A few weeks ago, Utah Dad and I were driving through Orem, Utah and I noticed a small cafe called Decadence. The name alone sounded delicious and I pointed it out to Utah Dad. So, it was perfect timing that the next week I received an invitation to lunch at Decadence. After checking out their website, I was even more intrigued by the unique food and drinks they had to offer.

Decadence is a fairly new cafe. The owners, a married couple, were vacationing in Hawaii in 2010 when they first tasted Tropical Dreams Ice Cream, made in Hawaii. It was amazing and they acquired the license to sell it in Utah County. It is super premium ice cream with flavors like Chocolate Coconut Macadamia Nut and Mango Cream. I am still regretting that I didn't taste the ice cream during my lunch. I'm just going to have to go back soon.

The owners have paired the amazing ice cream with espresso drinks made from Crio Bru.

This is what I focused on during my lunch. I'm not a coffee drinker so I am completely oblivious to words like mocha, espresso, frappuccino, or latte. The folks at Decadence filled me in quickly and I tried the White Mocha which was a hot drink, an Iced Mocha and the Coco Loco, an absolutely amazing drink made with the special ice cream. The underlying flavor of the Crio Bru was rich and dark and I loved it all. I brought home some of the cold drinks to share with Utah Dad and he was a fan. We will definitely be returning to Decadence on our next date night.

In an area with a lot of non-coffee drinkers and young college students, I think Decadence will be a big hit. Try out those popular coffee house style drinks without the coffee. It's fabulous. Decadence also has a delicious selection of baked goods and sandwiches to compliment your dessert.
